This team is going to invent a new electric vehicle. Good luck!
We have started a collaboration with Chalmers University of Technology. Six students will write their master’s theses in cooperation with Vässla, and the task is to develop a completely new vehicle within micromobility (small and light electric vehicles) for ages 10-15. It should have better range and comfort than traditional stand-up scooters, and the price should be affordable. And preferably it should look good, so people want it.
And they can come up with exactly whatever they want.
At Chalmers, technical thinking is combined with innovation, collaboration, and social commitment. I have no idea what this electric vehicle will finally look like and how it will function. Maybe it will be a two-wheeled moped-like thing or a three- or four-wheeled cart you can ride on bike paths. Or something else. Everything is possible. Because Vässla is about daring to dream, being a little naive – not about limiting yourself. I am sure the students’ free minds, sharp brains, and willingness to challenge will amaze us.
The task is actually much bigger than a new electric vehicle.
It’s about a society in change, where you can help make a difference. Letting the talents of the future contribute their ideas and perspectives in developing environmentally friendly transport solutions can also influence and nurture a generation that prioritizes sustainability. So the project aims not only to develop a new, fun, and smart product for micromobility but also to shape the next generation of conscious citizens.
I will get back with more information when things happen!
