This gang is going to invent a new electric vehicle. Good luck!

We have started a collaboration with Chalmers University of Technology. Six students will write their master's theses in cooperation with Vässla, and the task is to develop a completely new vehicle within micromobility (small and light electric vehicles) for ages 10-15. It should have better range and comfort than traditional stand-up scooters, and the price should be affordable. And preferably, it should be fun, so that people are tempted to use it.

And they can make up exactly whatever they want.

At Chalmers, technical thinking is combined with innovation, collaboration, and social engagement. I have no idea what this electric vehicle will ultimately look like and how it will function. It might become a two-wheeled moped-like thing or a three- or four-wheeled cart that you can drive on bike paths. Or something else. Everything is possible. Because Vässla is about daring to dream, being a bit naive – not about limiting oneself. I am sure that the students' free minds, sharp brains, and willingness to challenge will astonish us.

The task is actually much bigger than a new electric vehicle.

It's about a society in transition, where you can participate and make a difference. Allowing the talents of the future to contribute their ideas and perspectives in the development of environmentally friendly transport solutions can also influence and nurture a generation that prioritizes sustainability. So the project aims not only to develop a new, fun, and smart product for micromobility but also to shape the next generation of conscious citizens.

I will get back with more information when things happen!
